Customer stories
One of our favorite things about being business owners is getting to know our customers who inspire us on a daily basis. We are so grateful and delighted to share some of our customers’ stories about their time at home...juggling it all.
We hope you enjoy the read and find some comfort in knowing that we’re all in this TOGETHER and finding some silver linings along the way…

How do you manage to balance everything during this time at home?
I am taking each day one day at a time. My husband and I are both working from home and we have two kids so things are a little crazy. When the schools closed I panicked and set up a very tight schedule for the family. But I quickly realized that it was better for our family to give the kids a little more freedom. We try to get outside first thing and do something creative every day. When someone is having a bad day- and we all have them- we give that person space and try to take deep breaths. Mostly we try to stay sane and happy and most days we succeed. We adopted a new kitten and that's a sweet distraction.
What are you loving most about this time at home?
We have been enjoying sleeping late and having breakfast and lunch together! Like everyone else, we have been doing more cooking and my husband has been making homemade cashew/almond milk and it's delicious! We read every day, do yoga, watch movies. And every afternoon I make myself a turmeric latte with the milk and collagen and Manuka honey and I try to really enjoy it.
How are you taking care of yourself?
I take walks as often as I can and try to remember of all the good in our lives. I am so thankful for my little family and our health. I am also trying to be gentle with myself when it comes to my kid's screen time and my own levels of "productivity." Every day isn't perfect at our house but we are surviving and I am so proud of us all!

What are you loving most about this time at home?
We have 'sheltered in place' at our family cabin on the Llano River. I feel incredibly grateful to have space in nature to explore and live at a slower pace during these uncertain times. This experience has been a combination of different emotions, highs and lows, but I've gained more clarity of the essentials that make our family feel 'in the flow'. These simple, but vital ingredients for us revolve around nature, water and all the quality time and adventures that go along with it.
How are you taking care of yourself?
My self-care right now is about getting a little time alone to tune in, practice mindfulness and move my body. This usually includes a combination of walks, yoga and learning.

How do you manage to balance everything during this time at home?
I think every mom struggles with balance; it will be a battle forever. No matter what you do, whatever season you're in, we juggle so much. And sometimes, we drop a few balls, and that's okay! But we pick them back up and keep trying. We also need to learn to say no. I'm bad at that.
I have daily task lists and cross off as things get done, but not everything does, so then those things carry over into the next day. I don't have much time for me time, and that's kind of driving me crazy, but it is what it is, and I'm thankful for this busy season. We homeschool, so that's already been our life, but I'm thankful that my craft styling work has picked up and I've been able to create some fun things for some cool companies.
What are you loving most about this time at home?
I'm a homebody by nature, so I'm enjoying that my husband has time to tend to the garden and finish up some neglected projects, and I get to reap the benefits of a growing garden. Also, he usually works long hours, so it's been nice to have him working from home and getting to have a lot more meals together.
My girls love all the craft/art projects we do. Creating together is their love language. That's really bumped up a lot since we started doing #easyartaday to share with others.

I really look forward to Fridays. I work hard Thursdays getting the house somewhat clean and back in order, so that when the girls are on their virtual classes on Fridays, I get free time to sit in bed (even if it's just for 30 minutes, since it's also my work day). But the house is clean and someone else is engaging my kids... it's a good feeling. And every night, I sit in bed reading (or watching) with a bowl of fruit and glass of kombucha. It's my wind down ritual.
